BOOK CATALOG:

You can draw this simple design or print one out to use.  This design features an opened book on which you use the pages as tabs to document all the books you've read. Its a neat, simple, and very aesthetically pleasing page to put into your journal.

MOOD TRACKER:

Draw a grid, or use graphing paper. Label the vertical side by weeks and the horizontal side as days. So the weeks would be counting downwards and the Monday-Sunday days would be counting across. Create a legend or key under the chart, indicating different moods with a color of your choice. For example, red can be angry, blue can be sad, yellow can be happy, and so on. Everyday color in a square indicating your overall mood of the day. When the year is over, you can look back at it and have a summary of how you felt for the majority of the year. This can be really eye opening, since we tend to forget or push aside our feelings very often. If you were sad, upset, or angry most of the year, it will indicate that there is an ongoing issue. If you were happy most of the year, that means you most likely had a very nice year.

HABIT TRACKER:

Tracking your habits like sleep, drinking water, exercising, and so on, gives you a visual summary of your overall well being. Sometimes we assume we did enough of a certain task, when actually didn't do enough. A habit tracker puts into perspective how frequently you partake in a certain task you want to achieve. You can style this chart by labelling all your habits, tasks, and daily activities in a vertical column. You can label 1-30/31 horizontally to indicate the monthly days. Use a colored pen to color each number as the days go by. This way you have a neat weekly habit tracker.

PLAYLIST LAYOUT:

This one is a bit unique, but you can do this weekly, monthly, or at any increment you wish. You basically have to style a page in your journal dedicated to your current favorite music. This can even work with current favorite books or movies. Draw rectangles stylised as playlist thumbnails. In the rectangles you can draw or paste images of your current favorite songs, movies, or books. This helps you gauge your current interests on a weekly or monthly basis, (depending on your time increment.) It also very aesthetically pleasing.

Using these new bullet journal ideas, you can hopefully re-ignite your creativity or simply become more organized. Whatever your reasons, give yourself the time to enjoy the comfort of paper and pen.
