Winter break is coming near an end, or may have even ended for some. The dreaded spring semester of college is looming over every students heads. Spring semesters can be one of the hardest times of the year. The nice weather lowers productivity and puts many in the early summer mood. Spring term also tends to have very less breaks, so its usually one long haul until summer vacation. But, you can always be prepared. So before you head back, check out this checklist and see if you are on track.

FAFSA:
After January is around the time when many students panic and finally start to renew their financial aid. If you are one of those who also procrastinated the FAFSA, fill it out now before you head back. Take the burden of tedious applications off your back. It will take a bit, but its much better to do it now than later.
BOOKS:
Typically the best time to buy new textbooks and websites is before classes begin. You may have seen Amazon Prime proudly displaying adverts everywhere by now. Hop on the computer and start searching for deals. Good deals on books vanish like Black Friday Sales. Amazon is usually the go to as you can rent books from there. But if you are not a member of Amazon Prime, then check out Ebay. Yes, the books there will be a bit worn and used, but they are typically still decent. Plus, you get to keep them and mark them up.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES:
Go on and get the new binders, notebooks, and folders. College still requires some paper and pens, even if you may be an avid laptop note taker. Buy everything in bulk. Get large packs of pens, looseleaf paper, and stationary now. This way you won't have to go back during the semester to replenish your supplies.

DORM ESSENTIALS:
If you are a dorming student, there is even more pressure on you. You will have to go back to live on campus soon. Living away from home requires alot in itself. Here is a list of things you might need in a dorm.
- Bed Sheets, Blankets, Pillows
- Mini Fridge, Microwave, Clothing Iron
- Laptop, chargers, printer, internet box
- Storage bins, small shelves, organizers
- Spring clothing, shoes, toiletries
- School supplies, mini bulletin board
- Packaged easy food, water bottles
- Medicine, makeup, personal hygiene

PLANNER:
This one is also very important. Many college students prefer planners to keep them on track. Some use virtual planning apps on their phones, but a sizable chunk still use the good old paper planners. Visit your local supplies store, Walmart, or Target. There are many variants of planners. Choose one wisely and plan to stick through with it. It will help you stay on track with deadlines.

CLOTHING:
If you do not have any new spring clothes, its time you go shopping. The sun and humid weather will arrive eventually. Shop of some staple pieces that you know can be reused in various outfit combos. It saves you money and closet space. Make sure you shop for light and airy fabrics to keep cool during Spring. Don't buy too many clothes or move too many into your dorm. Typically, students relapse on to comfort clothing or the easy outfits. So save yourself the trouble and don't get too fancy. Just pick out some good easy outfits that are low maintenance.

Well, that covers the Spring Semester College Checklist. Make this semester worth it and mostly stay organized. Even if your semester goes to shambles, organization can help with damage control.
