Heyylloo Blogger World! So today I had a little rant I needed to get out of the way. And this is about College and Professors. Your College experience, believe it or not, is heavily influenced by your professors. I have already had my fair share of rotten professors and some great ones. Grab your popcorn its story time!

Today in particular had me fuming. So, my Biology class is very information oriented, but that I do not have a problem with. What really ruffles my feathers is that my professor literally covers a whole chapter in one class sitting. He will zoom through the PowerPoint and call it a day. Which again, I understand Bio has alot of info to cover so we have to rush. But, what angers me is that my professor deviates A LOT from what is taught to what shows up on the exams. He makes us review power points, after he is done making the exams. This means he knows whats on the exams.

He tends to emphasize certain cycles, processes, or information in class only to have it on the test as a few multiple choice and devoting the majority of the exam to other easily skimmed over details. For example, this unit he heavily stressed Plant Reproduction. He had us memorize plant life cycles for various species, only for it to be a few measly multiple choice questions on the exam. He even included these life cycles on his Review Powerpoint. This has been getting on my nerves. I hate the ambiguity has has about exams, like stop playing mind games and just test on the material in a straightforward manner!

I am not the only one who feels this way. The whole class basically does. But no one has the guts or wants to risk saying any of this to his face. In College the key to success is not a good professor, its a good exam maker. Because as much as we want to learn something substantial, at the end of the day our worth in the academic world will equate to the numbers on our transcripts. People take professors who are good exam makers! You can always read the textbook and self teach yourself the material. The exams is what it all comes down to.
And I had no choice but to take this professor, he was the only one offered this semester.
Yeah so this mess has been going on lately. Have you ever had teachers who spewed pages after pages of information at you only to test you on arbitrary details?
Well, if you did or do. Goodness gracious my luck be on your side.
Thanks For Reading!
