Ariana Grande No Tears Left To Cry Review

Heyylloo Blogger World! So Ariana Grande has made a comeback this season with her new music video and song for " No Tears Left To Cry." This brand new video and song has left fans emotionally charged and in awe. It was a bold move on Ariana's part as she dabbled in a concept she has never dove into before. The song is melancholic but lighthearted at once. Read on and I'll dive into an in depth review about this song!

The song starts off with a choir like intro, as Ariana's vocals are layered. The music video spans over a city that is spinning slowly and the camera perspective dives into a luxurious, English styled building. Ariana is seen walking and singing inside of the spinning hall of the building. She sports a simple yet elegant black princess style skirt with a black camisole along with a futuresque looking long silver braid. The whole scene seems like something out of a movie. The production put into this music video has by far exceeded the production in her previous works. They actually constructed a room to spin for her to prance in and film the video! Through the progression of the video, Ariana is seen in various different outfits and in various different settings. She is seen in a wall of jangled fairy lights, beside a serene river, and even scaling stairs that spin above the softly lit city. The imagery in the video is outstanding and effortlessly creates a chic yet tragic feel. The basic setting is a lonesome city at night, basking in the warm glow of skyscrapers. All of Ariana's outfits stay very night out themed and sophisticated.

The song itself changes from lows to highs as all her songs usually do. The soft, mellifluous vocals at the start change into a playful cadence as the song becomes more upbeat. In the chorus she falls back onto high notes and gives into her usual, slurred, and soprano type vibe. The song is atmospheric and psychedelic in some ways, as it has an entrancing instrumental, making it soft on the ears yet extremely catchy.          
                         
To sum it up, I really do see this as one of Grande's best works. The aesthetic is a huge selling point and the soft catchy vibe this song displays has won its place at #1 on itunes in 80 countries. Ariana seems to be at a very high point in her career, with tours under her belt, and a few albums released already. "No Tears Left To Cry, " is sure to become one of the top picks of 2018. The only criticism I have for this song is that, various sources had claimed this song was "super sad," before it was released. It has a poignant touch to it, but it is far from very sad or depressing. She made it seem as if this song was going to be an emotionally fueled ballad. Instead, it turned out to be a slightly melancholic pop song. Aside from that, this song was also a refreshing break from her usual sultry and seductive doll type image. It was an artistic breakthrough that many had been waiting for from Grande. Hopefully, she uses this new start to break herself away from the cliche pop diva image and have some substantial artistry to offer the world!
