How I Got 1000 Reads On Wattpad In 5 Days

Heyylloo Blogger World! So spring has officially begun and I have been getting back into the Wattpad mood. I decided to stop being lazy and go back on that thing after literally 2 years and actually start doing something. I was first of all apalled by how much it changed. Now it has ads and select users called Wattpad Stars can make money and what not. Wattpad is making the transition to becoming the Youtube of Books. This means that eventually more and more people will have money making opportunities on it. With that being said, if your like me and you have never had your book featured, gone viral, or hit the hot list, here is how you can generate views and override the system!

Wattpad users have begun this thing called Read For Reads. You basically go and search up "Read for Read" on Wattpad and many users have books titled just that. Click on a book and comment your story a description in it like the rest of the users have. Usually, users will message you to set up a read for read, where they briefly skim your book and you skim theirs in order to gain views for both. You can even do vote for vote or comment for comments if you like. Leave your book comment in every read for read book you can find.

Next, take action and message the users who have commented their books as well and set up the read for read with them. I made sure to set a certain goal each day, which was at least a 100 reads a day. Now, if your book already has 20 parts published, that will be easier to achieve, if not it will take longer. The more parts you have the more reads get added in the count, because that is more pages for the reader to scroll through. Be kind and do not scam other readers by getting your reads and not doing the same for their book. Some users do that, so approach them about it.

I did this consistently for 5 days and was able to add 1k reads to my book. I plan on continuing this regimen to get my book enough views so that it can get its foot out of the door. Usually books that reach above 10k start to gain more exposure and trend more on people's feeds. Books that have low views have a hard time reaching more people. So, in a sense you must override the system by taking action and bargaining and exchanging for views. It takes alot of hardwork, but once you have one successful book it is easier to market the others. It is all about making your name known on wattpad.

Yes it may be disatisfactory that many folks aren't actually reading reading your book, but assume this as your marketing period. After your book has many views, people will begin to actually read it. Plus, this is a good way to make Wattpad friends, gain follows, and actually gain a name around the community!
